Trollbead Convention at Highgate House

Steffans wish to thank all the Trollbead fans for attending the First Uk Trollbead Convention and also apologies for the long wait encountered by many.Finally a masive thanks to all Steffans staff and Highgate House.

Undoubtedly you are aware of the failings in the organisation of today but I for one would like to say well done for the achievements of your staff, their professionalism and genuine cheer in the face of some challenging customers.

Please do not let the learning curves of today prevent you from delivering this event again next year! If you are considering creating a customer forum for constructive feedback, I for one would be happy to put my name down!

Good Evening,

Just wanted to leave you a little feed back on the convention,

Firstly a big thank you for hosting the event and for our lovely goodie bags both Mum and Myself are very pleased with our goodie bag beads. We loved the charity stall and the lucky dip idea was brilliant although we waited at the front of the queue for the bowl to be refilled and sadly only picked out sweeties but still very worthy cause to give our money to.

The museum was really good, excellent seeing the first selection of beads and some of those we are lucky enough to be the proud owners of, and really good to see the bead making demonstrations very jealous of those lucky people who got their beads specially made for them what a treat.

Sadly now to the negative I suffer with Claustrophobia and the queuing for the sales section was only just short of terrifying for Me, I had to leave the queue on a couple of occassions as came very close to passing out with all the people and the heat, it was a great struggle to try and get back out once you had joined the queue and then no way to return again at a later time as it seemed to be growing more as the day progressed! I managed to get some earrings and the Baby Troll I had been desperate to buy so Thank you to your staff member at the earrings and OOAKs stand who kindly ventured over to find one for me. Unfortunately Mum was not so lucky she had her heart set on a Red Armadillo and queued up hoping to get one only to watch one person buy all 4 that were on the stand when she asked if there were anymore she was told yes but not until later in the day so returned later but still no luck. Also due to the huge number of people we didn't get chance to listen to any of the talks during the day which we had looked forward to.

I was really excited about the Convention only beads which were waved around the room but never got close enough to be able to purchase one, will there be any of these available elsewhere at any point? It would have been great to have something exclusive to the convention.

We both hope for future Trollbead conventions but please please please can we have a bigger sales section or a bigger venue or perhaps future conventions could be spread across a weekend to avoid such large numbers of people all attending at the same time.

Wow!!! it was busy!!!
I didn`t know there were quite so many troll fans in the U.K!!!
I`d like to thank all of the Steffans staff for your good humour and patience...and Wes, I don`t think I`ve seen anyone with your amount of energy before!!!!
Yes, there were huge problems with the queues ....but PLEASE hold another one...
problems (and queues) can be ironed out next time.

You must be all exhausted.

I enjoyed meeting old friends. So sad I had to queue for two hours to buy some beads & missing 2 talks. Most upset that I was unable to purchase 2 amber Ltd edition prisms that were top of my wish list but so happy that one of your lovely ladies managed to locate a red armadillo for me, thank you very much.

I look forward to the next meet up at your shop with fellow members of the Trollbead Society.

Thank you again for your hard work & I think you all deserve a very well earned rest.
