BRAND OF THE MONTH: BOBBY WHITE

Today we wish British jewellery designer Bobby White a very happy birthday.
Bobby White stands out among leading British jewellery designers as being one of the few who combines craftsmanship and traditions skills, together with a flair and passion for design to create dramatic and technically complex fine jewellery.
Having entered London's Guildhall at the age of 16 to study fine jewellery skills, Bobby went on to hone his craft as an apprentice in London's Hatton Garden for a further five years.  Today, Bobby is one of the few master-craftsmen on London's fashion scene. Many high-end international brands seek out Bobby when they need a cutting-edge, individual or complex design made specifically to order, which is testament to Bobby's craft skills.
At the age of 21, Bobby took the opportunity to acquire his own workshop in Hatton Garden enabling him to build on his growing reputation as the go-to craftsman for fine jewellery, designed with real passion.  The results are technically exquisite and visually dramatic, lauded not just by his clients but, as importantly, his industry.
As Bobby's reputation has grown, he has been approached by a roster of international stars to design and make pieces, including Prince, Jay-Z, Beyonce and Rihanna, showing Bobby's youthful and fresh approach to design with technical perfection.
He continues to hone his skills, to the point where Bobby will frequently create a piece from the metal at his workshop bench, without a single design drawing.
Having won many industry and fashion awards, Bobby's most treasured event was in 2009 when he was voted UK Young Jewellery Designer of the Year at the UK Jewellery Annual Awards.  As an institute that values technical prowess as much as design creativity, Bobby's 'motion ring' creation made a real impact with the judges.
Bobby continues to innovate from his now established workshop in Hatton Garden.  Whilst his bespoke approach to creating one-off commissions continues to flourish, in 2012 he designed the first in a series of silver collections, Star Crossed Lovers, which is based around the romantic notions in Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet.  The pieces all designed and finished with the same levels of perfection as his high-end, bespoke creations.
