Prince George has just turned 2 weeks old, and we are all still hungry for news of Britains latest Royal. Gifts are still pouring in from around the world, not only for the little man but for his parents also; we have put together a roundup of just some of the presents received by well wishers on a global scale.

Political Leaders

The countrys party leaders David Cameron and Nick Clegg have both opted for traditional gifts for the newborn, with Cameron sending a Roald Dahl boxset ready for when the Prince has learned to read, and Clegg sending a gift that can be used now, a two piece set of a cot cover and sheet, that has been hand embroidered by nuns in Cleggs wife Miriams home village in Spain. Not to be outdone, Labours Ed Milliband also sent along his best wishes along with an apple tree. Yes, that is right, an apple tree. Classed as a traditional growing gift for a firstborn son. Sourced from the London Orchard Project and the Brent Eleven Streets Residents Association, the tree apparently is quite established and already has fruit growing.London Mayor Boris Johnson has opted for a more active gift that links nicely to the capital, a bright blue tricycle to keep the young prince in line with Londons cycling policies, as well as encouraging a healthy lifestyle.

The Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust has gifted the baby with a handwritten scroll bearing his name and date of birth, presented in a leather case to his parents until he is old enough to keep it safe. Prince William was likewise presented with one for his birth 31 years ago.

The Scouts of Lake Windermere met the Princess back in March and knew then they had to get her something special for the birth, and their chosen baby carrier is a perfect present to combine the two. Simon Leader, Scout Leader, travelled to the Lindon Wing to deliver the gift in person.

The Greene King Pub in Cambridge, have reserved a seat for the Prince, currently in highchair form but they have promised the seat will grow along with him. William and Kate visited the pub during her pregnancy and pub manager John Cecchini knew he had to do something special to mark the occasion. A plaque on the wall also denotes the special occasion.

Leading baby cream brand Sudocrem have gone all out to mark the Princes birth with their gift of a 10,000 pounds Theo Fennell unique miniature Sudocrem pot that doubles as a nappy rash cream holder. His initials are also engraved onto a disc charm that accompanies the pot. 18ct white gold and encrusted in jewels, this is definitely a gift that mixes practicality with style!

Gifts from Overseas

Australia decided to show their love to the Prince by sending over a stuffed Bilby toy. The Bilby, a desert dwelling omnivore, will be accompanied by classic childrens tale Possum Magic. Australias gifts dont stop there, however. A research project at Taronga Zoo into the Bilby will be named in Prince Georges name with 10,000 dollars funding. Additionally, the tropical Northern Territory of Australia have named a baby crocodile George, his egg hatched on December 3^rd  (the date the couple announced their pregnancy). George joins Kate and William the crocodiles located in Darwin to make up the crocodile royal family, so named after the royal couple upon the announcement of their engagement. Finland opted for a slightly more traditional approach with their gift, a baby box given to all expectant mothers in Finland. This contains, amongst other things, clothes, a bath towel, bra pads and condoms for the parents.

Gifts for the new parents

Prince George hasnt been the only recipient of gifts since his birth. Nick Clegg also sent a bag of his favourite coffee to the couple, and William has also crafted his own bespoke brooch for Kate as a thank you for giving him his son. Whereas on their engagement he presented her with his mother Dianas ring, this gift is brand new and comes from the heart. Reports so far say this will be a brooch with a pink diamond as the centrepiece.
