Here at Steffans we always champion the British brands and here we are taking a look at five handpicked Royal Warrant Holders.
Currently, Royal Warrants are granted for the Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh and the Prince of Wales. The Royal Warrant signifies that over the course of at least five years, there has been a satisfactory trade relationship in place between both the granter and the company.
Some Royal Warrants have been held for over one hundred years!
Here are our top five Royal Warrant holders…
5. Ritz Hotel

The Ritz Hotel in London was opened by Cesar Ritz in 1906 and even to this day, still provides the glamour and excitement as it has done from the very beginning. The Ritz is the only hotel that has been awarded a Royal Warrant for services to Banqueting and Catering by HRH The Prince of Wales. All of the 136 guestrooms combine Louis XVI style interiors alongside touches of modern day technologies. The Ritz currently holds one warrant.

4. Fortnum & Mason

Fortnum & Mason is found in the heart of London and was established in 1707 by William Fortnum and Hugh Mason. Fortnum and Mason is probably most famous for being the first shop in Britain to stock Heinz baked beans. Royal Warrants have been held by Fortnum and Mason for nearly 150 years and they currently hold two;
• Grocers & Provisions Merchants granted by HM The Queen – Master of the Household in 1955
• Tea Merchants and Grocers granted by HRH The Prince of Wales in 1996
3. Clarins

A family run business founded in 1954, Clarins is well known for serious skin care products that have been created with essential oils and plant extracts. In 1997, Clarins launched their first make up line and in 2002 a skincare range for men was released. Clarins are happy to share the rewards of their success with a number of charities and in the UK this year they are searching for the ‘Clarins Most Dynamisante Woman of the Year.’ This is an award for a dynamic individual working tirelessly to improve the lives of sick or underprivileged children with £30,000 donated to the winners UK registered charity. Clarins currently holds one Royal Warrant.

2. Smythson

Smythson of Bond Street was established back in 1887 and has a strong history and reputation for being the ultimate purveyor of luxury stationery and leather goods. Smythson is probably most famous for it’s iconic handbags and diaries. Currently, Smythson holds three Royal Warrants:
• Stationers granted by HM The Queen – Privy Purse in 1964
• Supplier of Leathergoods granted by HRH The Duke of Edinburgh in 2003
• Suppliers of Stationery and Office Equipment granted by HRH The Prince of Wales in 1980

Aston Martin’s award winning range includes the V8 Vantage, DB9 and the flagship DBS. Currently, Aston Martin holds one Royal Warrant:
• Motor Car Manufacturer and Repairer granted by HRH The Prince of Wales in 1982
